New STAR WARS Animated Series In The Works
Written by Skott Stoland on 03/18/2010 – 4:32 PM -IESB is reporting that in addition to the currently ass-kicking (despite my early attempts at hating it for not involving Genndy Tartakovsky) Clone Wars cartoon and the in-development live-action series, there will soon be a third Star Wars series on our TV screens.
The site claims, via an unnamed, unquoted source, that the new animated series would be geared toward a younger audience of Pre-School to Kindergarten aged children and would be based on the Galactic Heroes aesthetic.
IESB says that a director has already been brought on board and that the show’s working title is Squishies.
They then take the opportunity to bash the concept, calling it a money grab and pointing out how not excited they are about this show. I’m sorry, but if you’ve ever seen the based-on-a-similar-toy-line Super Hero Squad Show, and aren’t excited about the idea of that kind of series set in the Star Wars Universe, then I’m taking away your Geek Card. There’s no hope for you.
