SDCC News – Marvel Anime Coming To G4

The Marvel Anime project has been floating around for a while; it was first announced back in 2008, and even had a panel at last year’s Comic Con. But now the project has a home.

Marvel Anime, a package of four series, will be airing on G4. Expect the Japanese-tinted adventures of Iron Man, The X-Men, Wolverine, and Blade to start airing sometime in 2011.

Warren Ellis had a hand in the creation of the shows, so if nothing else you can expect them to be cool and interesting takes on the material.

can we expect a bad dub too? it wouldn’t be a true anime without it…

Yes, apparently we can. The shows were originally created for the Asian market and weren’t intended to air here. They are, in fact, being translated and dubbed for American broadcast.
