I don’t know what’s more shocking, that someone got stabbed in the face at Comic Con or that it took this long for someone to get stabbed in the face at Comic Con.

Details have finally gotten out about what happened yesterday in Hall H. While reports are still slightly contradictory, what we do know is that either towards the end of the Resident Evil: Afterlife panel, or between it and the Paul/Cowboys and Aliens panel, there was an altercation over a seat. It seems that one man, the victim, was sitting too close to another man, the attacker, and an argument ensued, ending with someone getting stabbed either in the eye or “on the side of the eye” with a pen.

The attacker, when asked why he did it, expressed remorse, but placed the blame for the incident on the other guy. “Because the guy attacked me first. He told me he wanted to take me outside and I told him I did not want to fight,” he said. “When he came to leave the seat with his big friend he stomped on my leg and then I attacked him back. I’m very sorry.”

Police said the the injuries were minor and not life-threatening.
