SUCKER PUNCH Comic Con Trailer Is Nine Kinds Of Crazy And Awesome
Written by Skott Stoland on 07/27/2010 – 1:48 PM -Damn, like its title implies, Sucker Punch came out of nowhere. Last week, very few people had even heard of Zack Snyder’s next film (well, after his animated owl epic hits theatres in September), but it came out of Comic Con with a hell of a lot of buzz. Smartly, and unlike a lot of other films (Green Lantern, everything from Marvel for example), the producers of this one decided to show the rest of us what everyone was talking about.
And if you want to see it in higher quality, but smaller, you can watch it at the Apple website.
Seriously, holy shit this thing looks awesome. I marked down Snyder as a director to watch back with Dawn of the Dead, a fine update of one of my favorite films ever, and he hasn’t disappointed me yet. Even when the source material was full of Miller-isms (300), his style made up for it, and he pulled off the impossible and adapted Watchmen. My ticket’s bought for his first original concept, especially when it’s essentially a fanboy dumping his toy shelf on the floor and playing with his collection like a little kid.
