Comic Con THOR Trailer Hits Net, Rules

There have been a lot of great trailers lately, haven’t there? Maybe I should do an article about the awful Priest trailer to even things out. But I’m not here to talk about that crime against film, I’m here to talk about Thor. And its awesome, awesome trailer from Comic Con.

I love, love, love this trailer, and I don’t even like Thor all that much. I think it’s a great idea to make the film very SHIELD-heavy, as this ties it to the rest of the cinematic Marvel Universe in an organic, non-gimmicky (read: cameo) way. And the Asgard stuff just looks gorgeous (also, good call on going with alien Asgardians).

The fight choreography was nice, if not a little WWE-ish.  The plastic armor that concerned a lot of people looked good in motion. And if you still have a problem with Idris Elba as Heimdall after seeing him in his armor, then that’s your problem that you need to work out. Because he looks bad-ass.

All-in-all, I’d say the trailer did its job, and did it well.
