DC Comics, apparently having read my dream journal, has decided to unbench one character and take another out of the batter’s circle. Yes, Misfit and Ambush Bug are coming to the New 52.
The upcoming miniseries, Ambush Bug/Misfit: Teleporting Troublemakers, was announced this morning. Geoff Johns said of the comic,
“It was just the right time to introduce these characters, and the perfect time to let everyone know about it. We can’t wait to see what the fans think of these two, teleporting around the DCU, annoying everyone they meet. And they will meet everyone.”
Misfit creator Gail Simone will write the series, while Sean “Cheeks” Galloway will be handling the art duties.
It’s incredible that despite being fan-favorite characters (and him appearing in the back of nearly every DC comic), this is their New 52 debut.
