Fan Film Friday – THE DARK KNIGHT LEGACY

You may have seen The Dark Knight Legacy floating around various corners of the internet for the past week or so. This is because it’s a well-done extension of Christopher Nolan’s Batman universe.

Written by Woody Tondorf and Chris Landa and directed by Brett Register, The Dark Knight Legacy brings in JGL-alike Daniel Vincent Gordh as Nightwing to clean up after Maury Sterling’s Red Hood makes a bit of a mess of a meeting of Gotham’s underworld. The short, though not sharing any behind the camera talent, is sort of set in the same Nolan fan film-verse as Batman: Puppet Master as evidenced by the appearance of Frank Birney as the Ventriloquist.

At the end of the day though, this particular short is really just a teaser and a very well-made promo for the indiegogo to make the rest of the film, which promises a full-on Nightwing vs Red Hood brawl. As of presstime, with 26 days left, they’re over 40% of the way toward their $30,000 goal.

PS – As an epileptic, you know what I’d appreciate a lot more than a seizure warning? You not using strobe lights in the first place.
