WINTER SOLDIER, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 And TRANSFORMERS 4 Trailers Played During Some… Thing?… Yesterday

I’ve never been exactly clear on why big genre films always have trailers debut during the Super Bowl. I guess it’s to get them in front of the eyes of people who aren’t already guaranteed ticket sales. Whatever the reason, during yesterday’s game there were new trailers for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and a teaser for Transformers: Age of Extinction, which is actually the first footage anyone’s seen.

This just keeps looking better and better. Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy are easily my two most anticipated movies this year.

As much as I thought Amazing Spider-Man was unnecessary (it easily could have been Part 4 instead of a reboot) and as much as I hated the last 30 seconds, I’m liking a lot of what I’m seeing from ASM 2.

So… um… huh. That all happened. Honestly I’m not sure if this is the best or worst thing ever to happen in this franchise.

PrimeGrimlockAlso, in an amazing bit of synergy, as soon as the spot aired you could go to Amazon and buy the new movie Optimus. It’s $60 and ugly as home-grown sin.
