GREEN LANTERN Character Posters Kick Ass, Reveal Plot Details?

Remember that poster I ran the other day that gave us our first glimpse of what Mark Strong will look like as Sinestro in Green Lantern? Remember how at the end of the article, I said “hopefully a higher-res will pop up soon?” Well one has, along with similar posters for Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris and Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond.

Notice Hammond’s yellow-tinged part of the logo. Could this be as simple as his being the film’s villain, or is there something more to it?

During the Q&A portion of the Comic Con panel, the question was asked, “Will we see Ion or Parallax in these films?”

Reynolds responded, “Parallax is in it. I better be able to say that…He’s the emotional manifestation of fear in this.”

I, for one, would not be remotely surprised if, instead of the comic’s meteorite, the film’s Hammond gains his powers from Parallax. Wikipedia’s entry for the film version of the character says this is case, though the section is unsourced. So take it as speculation, and wonder how no one took it down yet.

Oh, given the theme of the posters, here’s Reynolds reciting the Green Lantern oath.
