Marvel.com has just announced who will be playing the title villain in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, and it’s James Spader, of all people.
While this is sure as hell of a left-field choice, it’s not really a bad one. Spader’s an excellent actor and plays conniving so damn well. I’m looking forward to the pairing of him and Whedon’s dialog.
What isn’t known yet, is how Ultron will be portrayed. Perhaps Spader will perform motion capture for a CG android or the character will have a more human appearance (for part of the film, maybe?).
