Damn That’s A Lot Of Slow Motion In The DREDD Trailer

Watching the trailer for Dredd, the new non-Stallone adaptation of the long-running British comic, and knowing that director Pete Travis left the editing stage of development under dramatic circumstances, one wonders if the producers didn’t bring in Zack Snyder to help clean up the mess. Take a look at the slow-motion filled footage and you’ll see exactly what I mean.

Of course, it’s also possible that it’s a choice made for plot reasons since the film is about Karl Urban’s Judge Dredd stopping a gang dealing a drug called “Slo-Mo”. Plot decision or stylistic one, what do you think?
