It would seem Robert Rodriguez is doing something right with the much-delayed sequel to Sin City, as there’s already talk of where to go next with the franchise.
In an interview with the New York Times, producer Harvey Weinstein brought up the idea of a Sin City TV series to follow the upcoming film.
Mr. Weinstein said he was also hoping to quickly follow the August release of the film “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez, with a “Sin City” television series from Mr. Miller and Mr. Rodriguez.
One assumes, given that it’s been almost a decade since the first entry in the series that fans can expect a wait between seasons similar to Sherlock.
Also of note is the interesting error that the New York Times article made with the film’s title. Word got out last month that it was changed from the comic’s “A Dame to Kill For” to ” A Dame to Die For”. Presumably the new title was seen as less violent and aggressive.
