The cast for Marvel’s Daredevil series is starting to come together (as it must if it’s to make its Netflix debut next year). Following the announcements of Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk and Boardwalk Empire‘s Charlie Cox in the title role, today Rosario Dawson’s involvement became official.
Marvel.com was deliberately vague about Dawson’s character, saying only that,
“[she] will play a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city.”
Jeph Loeb wasn’t any more forthcoming, “Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock’s journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil.”
Before that, Dawson will be seen reprising her role as Gail in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Me, I’m still hoping for a Josie and the Pussycats sequel.
