I once referred to Adrianne Palicki as one of the biggest genre actresses you’ve never actually seen, following failed pilots for a Lost in Space reboot, Aquaman and, of course, Wonder Woman. Then she caught mainstream attention in Friday Night Lights and geek attention in GI Joe: Retaliation.
It looks like she might finally be able to break her curse and get the comic book TV role she’s always wanted. The key, apparently, was to join an existing series and not headline her own pilot.
Palicki will be appearing in the upcoming season of Agents of SHIELD as Bobbi Morse, Mockingbird. Morse has been a member of just about every variation of the Avengers to exist, as well as, fittingly, SHIELD.
Mockingbird also has history with Hawkeye (the pair were married for a while), which means there’s a very good chance we’ll be seeing Palicki pop up in a future film.
I just really, really hope her inclusion isn’t meant to set up Secret Invasion, because ugh.
