While not everyone is thrilled with the way Warner Bros. is handling their DC Comics films, it’s hard to not love what they’re doing on TV. Arrow and Flash are two of the best adaptations in ages and even Gotham is ridiculously fun (even if it’s not perfect). With Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim working hard on the upcoming Supergirl and Teen Titans series, what more could they possibly have planned? According to Deadline, a show featuring the return of some familiar faces is what.
The site reports that the team is developing a new “superhero team-up show” that will star Brandon Routh (Arrow‘s Ray Palmer/The Atom), Victor Garber (Flash‘s Dr. Martin Stein/half of Firestorm), Wentworth Miller (Flash villain Leonard Snart/Captain Cold) and Caity Lotz (Arrow‘s supposedly dead Sara Lance/Canary). The series will also apparently “include three major DC Comics characters who have never appeared in a TV series.” One assumes that means live-action since damn near everyone to ever appear in a DC comic showed up on JLU and Brave and the Bold.
The series isn’t part of The CW’s current pilot cycle, and is likely to debut without one next midseason.
