This is the best thing on the internet today. Hands down. No arguments.
We all know Vin Diesel loves the Pitch Black movies. They’re a passion project for him that none of his other films can even come close to. Hell, he even put up his house as collateral for last year’s Riddick.
So when Universal gave him the go-ahead to start work on the next chapter in the series, he got a little excited. Well, I say “a little”…
Here’s Vin Diesel announcing the next Riddick film. He does it at about 3:15 in a 7 minute video of him dancing in front of a webcam to Katy Perry and Beyonce like a 14 year-old. A video that he posted to his Facebook. It’s the most amazing thing you will ever see.
In case you didn’t want your life to made incredibly better in every way, here’s what he said.
“I’m just excited, and happy, and I’m shouting out to you guys to say thank you. Universal just called me and told me Riddick is number one on the DVD charts. There’s no way Riddick would have been made without you guys. You know that. and you guys have been a part of our page since 2012 and remember how arduous a road it was to get the movie made, and to make it rated ‘R,’ and to do it with such a low budget. It’s a win for all of us and I really, really thank you so much. Universal also says they want to develop the next one.”
Everything about this is wonderful. More Riddick is always good news, and to have it announced like this… well… What could possibly be better than that?
