Here’s a very cool Kickstarter that’s in danger of going unfunded.
Hound is a graphic novel based on the Celtic myth of Cu Chulainn, an ancient warrior who has “earned a reputation for never letting anyone or anything get in the way of that which he wants more than anything else – to be Champion of the World.“
In many ways, it seems like one could compare it an Irish Conan (the Barbarian, not the talk show host who is Irish).
And how gorgeous is that art? Clearly there’s a bit of a Frank Miller influence, but that’s no reason to complain. I mean look at it.
If there was one sticking point, it’s the lack of levels between the digital copy and the signed physical one. It’s £20 ($33.62) for the digital and £40 ($67.24) for the physical with no levels in between that also come with the digital copy.
Even still, the book looks great and the Kickstarter ends Thursday. As of this writing, it’s got £3432 ($5768.35) left to go.
