When the Ponds left the TARDIS in the mid-season finale of Doctor Who, we were all saddened by the loss of two companions we’d grown to know and love over the course of two and a half seasons. Though we were also given hope in the way they left, that they’d be spending their lives together.
The story we saw wasn’t the whole story, though. There was a scene that was cut before the episode even got filmed. That scene would have given closure to Rory’s father Brian’s arc. Thankfully, the scene was rescued and the BBC has released it in storyboard format with Arthur Darvill doing a bit of voice acting.
Heart-rending with shades of “Blink”, it’s a shame it was cut but it’s so great that it got released at all.
